media personalities in Mindanao converged in Davao City for the two-day
organizational meeting, July 16-17, 2017 and formed Mindanao Federation of Fourth Estate with acronym “Minda Fourth Estate”. the newly organized national media
network for the new millennium based in Davao City is to respond the needs of the
people in terms of public information and education campaign in the countryside, a partner of the government on peace and development, and Good Governance, Transparency and Accountability.
The Minda
Fourth Estate will support the current Duterte Administration in the promotion
of Federalism to inform and educate the people and elevate the level of
political awareness in the realization of the Federal government in the country.

Its
membership mostly coming from the independent media in Mindanao but this will
expand nationwide. The new media network will also accept affiliations from any
media organizations subject for approval from the Board of Trustees.
The
Caraga Mass Media Association (MCCA) covering the CARAGA Region is headed by
its President Dione Datwin of Butuan City, also one of the Board of Trustees of
Mindafourth Estate, is committed to affiliate to the new media network. Another
media organization, the Manggagawang Media ng Mindanao (MMM) based in
Northwestern Mindanao is headed by its President Jun Enriquez of Iligan City,
also one of the Board of Trustees of Minda Fourth State, is also committed to
affiliate the MMM to the former.

Minda Fourth Estate President, Publisher of the Philippine Fiscalizer, the only national
newspaper based in Davao City and also the Publisher of the Oriental Examiner,
one of the local newspapers in Davao City said “we will help President Duterte
especially in his campaign on Federalism because this is the only way our country
become more progressive and develop and become more globally competitive which
is a people-centered economy.” Pauliño added “this is a good timing in
creating the Minda Fourth Estate because President Duterte is looking for people
who can help him realize his plan.”

Minda Fourth Estate Vice President for Finance, Ronie Osnan said “this new media network will
help the Duterte Administration promote not only the Federalism but also his entire
political agenda for the good of the Filipino people.”
VP for Social Media, Jun Aparece said "the
Minda Fourth Estate is aimed to promote the interest and welfare of Independent media
practitioners in the countryside." Oath taking ceremony of the new set of officers
will be held in mid-September to be followed with the National Media Summit in
Davao City.
The
message of the Minda Fourth Estate Slogan “Media para sa masa, Federalismo karon
na!” (Media for the masses, Federalism right now!), connotes that a
Government closer to the media is closer to the people. The Minda Fourth Estate Board
of Trustees will also invite pool of advisers to serve as think tank of the
organization. President Rodrigo Roa Duterte is expected to be in the twin
events in September.

set of Officers of the Minda Fourth State numbering to 15 persons are the

Vice President for Print: Ben P. Diansay; Vice President for Social Media:
Candido O. Aparece, Jr.; Vice President for Finance: Ronie S. Osnan; Secretary
General: Marlon T. Gayog; Vice President
for Northwestern Mindanao Region: Juanito C. Enriquez, Jr; Vice President for
CARAGA Region: Dionesio D. Datwin; other members of the Board of Trustees (BOT)
are Jaime R. Torres, Roque G. Quimpan, Manny R. Javellana, Eugene A.
Barrios, Paul F. Sango, Romeo Catalan and Cordulo J. Onez. The organizational structure
of the Minda Fourth Estate is considering the institutional and geographical
